That's a whole bunch of assists

The following post is part of a series of posts that are published every Wednesday to update readers on what I've been playing during the week (this also includes games on my "Pile of Shame"). The games to target are picked by Choicest Games contributors Choona, Luke and myself. As I'll be talking about my progress through these games, there may be spoilers ahead, especially for games containing a narrative. Consider yourself warned.

Battlefield 2042

  • Picked by Me
  • Percentage Complete = 100%

Last week of Season 3 is upon us. As mentioned before, I've unlocked everything but I'm trying to get used to playing as the Recon class with sniper rifles, and it just doesn't seem to work very well with the likes of Rao or Paik which I figure are better suited for close-quarters combat. In Season 4, there will be a fourth Recon character called Camila Blasco and her ability sounds kind of OP: she has the ability to place a jammer that interferes with devices that need to lock-on or ones that spot units, and to top it all off, she cannot be spotted by motion sensors. Very stealthy, but again, why would someone going around in close-quarters run around with a sniper rifle? That's why I reckon with the exception of Casper, I've got to change the loadout for my Recon specialists.

Cook, Serve, Delicious!! 3?!

  • Picked by Me
  • Percentage Complete = 18%

I haven't played many games this week except Battlefield 2042 and this one. Like its predecessors, it's a good game to play when you don't have much time on your hands and it's family friendly too. I've made my way to the third town in the game and I must say, I kind of like the fact it has a fleshed out campaign, as opposed to the previous games. You still have the freedom to visit previous levels if you want to but I like games that have goals to achieve and Cook, Serve, Delicious!! 3?! definitely scratches that itch.
