Revives. It's kind of Falck's thing. |
The following post is part of a series of posts that are published every Wednesday to update readers on what I've been playing during the week (this also includes games on my "Pile of Shame"). The games to target are picked by Choicest Games contributors Choona, Luke and myself. As I'll be talking about my progress through these games, there may be spoilers ahead, especially for games containing a narrative. Consider yourself warned.
Among Us
- Picked by Me
- Percentage Complete = 100%
Merry Christmas everyone! I've been mainly playing games with the kids over the past week since it is the holiday season and been playing a few games on the Nintendo Switch such as Minecraft Dungeons and Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova. I have played a bit more Among Us including its new Hide 'n' Seek mode. There really isn't too much to it and it's just a matter of crewmates temporarily hiding in vents and running away from the Impostor who is now permanently in their monster form. Performing tasks reduces the amount of time the Impostor has to kill off all crewmates but the Impostor cooldown after kills is by default pretty quick. The mode also has a proximity alert and music that changes intensity depending how close the Impostor gets to you. Despite its simplicity I find it a great addition to the game but maybe only because I really hate playing the Impostor in normal mode due to me being incapable of lying effectively.
Overcooked!
- Picked by Me
- Percentage Complete = 100%
I've returned back to playing Overcooked! with my daughters and even made progress in a couple of the mini-campaigns: "The Lost Morsel" and "Festive Seasoning" (the latter being totally appropriate as it's a Christmas themed DLC). It was good fun and my youngest daughter is definitely getting better at it, to the point that we may even be able to make further progress on the main campaign which we've yet to finish (we could never get past the space levels).
Battlefield 2042
- Picked by Me
- Percentage Complete = 100%
Been continuing to unlock stuff in Battlefield 2042. The game can still be buggy at times but generally having fun. Just a shame that the game isn't getting as much interest as it did when it originally came out. There's a slight upswing recently, probably due to the free event but it's still only about 12,000-13,000 according to Steam at least.
