Good ol' Stan |
The following post is part of a series of posts that are published every Wednesday to update readers on what I've been playing during the week (this also includes games on my "Pile of Shame"). The games to target are picked by Choicest Games contributors Choona, Luke and myself. As I'll be talking about my progress through these games, there may be spoilers ahead, especially for games containing a narrative. Consider yourself warned.
The Oil Blue
- Picked by Me
- Percentage Complete = 100%
I did it! I grinded my way to the final achievement! This means I have another "Perfect" game on my Steam profile. Currently, I have 20 Perfect games, although most of these games offer "Certificate of Participation"-style achievements, such as the Telltale games which often give you all achievements upon completing the game.
Anyway, this game can now be added to the backlog of reviews I need to do!
Escape from Monkey Island
- Picked by Me
- Percentage Complete = 25%
I played this for a little bit at the request of my daughter. I was hoping to finish this before Return to Monkey Island releases but since I've got less than a week until that occurs, it's going to be a struggle to get it done on time! I've finally mixed the correct scent and had Deadeye Dave the Prosthetics salesman sniff it. After Dave provides Pegnose Pete's alias (or perhaps his real name) I played around with the filing system controls before finally retrieving instructions on how to navigate the swamp to his house.
Battlefield 2042
- Picked by Me
- Percentage Complete = 100%
Played a little bit of Battlefield 2042 this week. I've been slowly trying to increase Lis's mastery to Level 4 but it's actually more difficult than it looks. While I've been able to score many hits with her special rocket launcher, I need to get vehicle kills in order to increase the Mastery level which is going to take a really long time. I've also been having a go playing as Crawford and sometimes you can get quite a few easy kills using his deployable minigun. But more often than not, people will end up sniping you from a distance. So yeah, not sure if he's really that useful after all.
