The following post is part of a series of posts that are published every Sunday to update readers on what Mark G has been up to with respect to finishing off games on his "Pile of Shame". The games to target are picked by Choicest Games contributors Choona, Luke and myself. As I'll be talking about my progress through these games, there may be spoilers ahead, especially for games containing a narrative. Consider yourself warned.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition

I've completed the Feros mission and have dealt with not only the Geth but the Thorian as well. So, I've only got Virmire to do now. I also encountered the point in the game where you have to decide whether you romantically pursue Ashley or Liara (well, at least if you're a male Shepard). In retrospect, the scenes are rather cringeworthy but I guess there has to be no doubt that you're intending to pursue a relationship in terms of game mechanics and a love triangle is always going to be an uncomfortable situation anyway.
One minor criticism I have with the game is that it would be nice if you could mark systems you have completed exploring. Often every system has some sort of mission area you can explore, such as a planet or spaceship, but without actually entering the mission, you won't know if you've completed it or not.
