| Taking advantage of the Photo Mode again... don't mind me |
The following post is part of a series of posts that are published every Sunday to update readers on what Mark G has been up to with respect to finishing off games on his "Pile of Shame". The games to target are picked by Choicest Games contributors Choona, Luke and myself. As I'll be talking about my progress through these games, there may be spoilers ahead, especially for games containing a narrative. Consider yourself warned.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition

I'm slowly chiselling away at all the sidequests in the first Mass Effect. I even finished the side quests associated with Shepard's first encounter with Cerberus (which plays a more prominent role in Mass Effect 2 of course). The tweaks I mentioned before kind of helped with the framerate drops but unfortunately I now observe tearing since vsync was disabled. You can't have everything it seems! I've been having heaps of fun with the new Photo Mode too: it's a great addition to the game, especially for the big fans of the series.
In terms of the main storyline I completed the Noveria mission. I may have mentioned this before but I love it how having different followers along have them chime in about different things, such as Liara mentioning about Benezia or Asari culture, or Garrus talking about C-Sec and justice. It's really cool. What's even better though is when particular NPCs are acquainted with your followers and not only recognise them but have side conversations (e.g. Benezia being Liara's mother results in them having a conversation with each other that you wouldn't normally experience if you brought someone else in her place).
