|BURN BABY BURN! 8-Bit INFERNO!|
The following post is part of a series of posts that are published every Sunday to update readers on what Mark G has been up to with respect to finishing off games on his "Pile of Shame". The games to target are picked by Choicest Games contributors Choona, Luke and myself. As I'll be talking about my progress through these games, there may be spoilers ahead, especially for games containing a narrative. Consider yourself warned.

I've played another two more missions in the Guardians campaign. I'm liking this Guardians side despite them employing unconventional weapons: I now tend to send Rocket Cars, Flame Tanks, Snipers and Grenadiers, and they're not too bad when they work in unison. On the defense, the Turrets aren't as bad as the description makes it out to be: somehow they say they're unable to attack aircraft but I could've sworn I saw one take out a chopper, so yeah, not sure what's going on there.
XCOM: Chimera Squad

I managed to just scrape through a couple of missions without my medic, Terminal. Thankfully she's ready for action again and not a moment too soon as my next mission is the end of Act 2, where I attempt to take down the Progeny. I still don't have Mastercrafted Armour yet but they're apparently coming soon (I get the feeling I may need them in Act 3). Shelter has now been promoted so he can now use the Soulfire ability like the Progeny have been using against me (so time for them to get a taste of their own medicine). Zephyr is also becoming a force of nature as she zips around the battlefield flykicking enemies before they even get a chance to react. Who would've thought an agent who focuses on melee attacks would be so powerful?
Quest for Glory II
- Picked by Choona
- Percentage Complete = 75%
I've defeated the Fire Elemental and am now up to Day 8 in the land of Shapeir. I'm just passing time now by training with the weapon master and killing monsters in the desert since I believe there are no more thief quests to do for the time being.
