| Basically Mammoth Tanks |
The following post is part of a series of posts that are published every Sunday to update readers on what Mark G has been up to with respect to finishing off games on his "Pile of Shame". The games to target are picked by Choicest Games contributors Choona, Luke and myself. As I'll be talking about my progress through these games, there may be spoilers ahead, especially for games containing a narrative. Consider yourself warned.
8-Bit Armies

Almost finished the single player campaign. Just one more mission to go. Again, the last mission I did was a bit more challenging than usual but I just recycled a tactic I used previously which was to shoot a nuke to soften up power plants then target those with my attacking force - this results in all the turrets going offline meaning I usually have enough time to destroy the enemy HQs. What was different in this mission though was that I was able to use "heavy tanks" which are basically Mammoth Tanks from C&C. It was glorious.
XCOM: Chimera Squad

Completed a couple of more missions but actually nearly stuffed one up that involved stopping a bank heist. Somehow, there were a lot of enemies to take on or I just had the wrong squad composition. I find the wrong squad composition theory hard to believe though since I had the usual stalwarts of Verge and Terminal, but maybe Shelter and Cherub weren't the best additional members. Two of my agents ended up being gravely wounded and it was just Shelter and Terminal left towards the end. Thankfully, with the medic still up, I managed to scrape through, but only just...

I'm finally in Raseir and I've got so much stuff I'm overburdened. Wizards seem to have so much money and nothing to spend it on! Almost finished my wizard playthrough and after this I can finally move on to playing as a thief!
