We now feature some music used by House Ordos in the RTS Emperor: Battle for Dune. For this faction, Westwood Studios relied on the talents of Jarrid Mendelson who was also a composer for Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun. This one is a funky mix of hip hop and industrial which seems to fit House Ordos to a T... but where did House Ordos come from in the first place?
House Ordos does not originally appear in the Dune novels but was instead the creation of Westwood Studios so there would be three sides in Dune II: House Atreides, House Harkonnen and House Ordos. Westwood Studios seems to have gone with a The Good, the Bad and the Ugly way of picking houses as House Ordos isn't noble like House Atreides nor is it completely ruthless like House Harkonnen. House Ordos are instead known as an "insidious" faction that smuggles forbidden Ixian technologies and have a tendency towards sabotage, expensive weaponry and illegal technologies imported from Ix.
