Ahhhh "Fremen Alliance". This track has a very "Lawrence of Arabia" feel to it, and why wouldn't it, considering it's the Fremen we're talking about after all...
The Fremen in Frank Herbert's Dune are partly inspired by the Bedouin Arabs and there are many obvious parallels for one familiar with the people who have learned to survive in the harsh deserts of the Middle East. Even some of the words the Fremen speak are basically Arabic or very close... for example:
- subakh ul kuhar = are you well?
- subakh un nar = I am well, and you?
- halal hu/haram hu = it is lawful/it is forbidden
- baklawa = dessert pastry
- hajj = pilgrimage
- jihad = holy war
- shari-a = ritual
