With three votes, one from each of the judges, comes a game I hadn't really heard of until recently called 12 Minutes. It's a game with a very interesting premise though as you're a man stuck in a 12 minute time loop and you have to find a way of breaking out of it. At the beginning of the loop you're spending a romantic evening with your wife until everything turns into a nightmare once a detective breaks in, accuses your wife of murder and then proceeds to beat you to death.
The game has been in development for a few years and has received a lot of press from the likes of The Guardian, Forbes, Variety as well as your usual gaming sites such as Kotaku, Destructoid, Polygon and Rock Paper Shotgun. It also has the artist Luis Antonio, who worked on The Witness, at the helm.
The game is slated for release in 2020.
