Ahhhh, this track is a classic; to me, it's one of the tracks that is synonymous with the first Age of Empires - probably because it's the first track that you hear when you start a game proper. The first 38 seconds almost sounds like worldbeat/new-age/ethnic electronica music, like something by Deep Forest or Engima. When the drum beats and the chanting kick in at 0:38, you know you're well on your way to developing that new civilisation :).
Although it seems like this track has disappeared from the remastered version of the game, Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, it actually still exists as a track called "Wonder of the World".
