SpaceVenture is being developed by the Guys from Andromeda |
SpaceVenture is a game that has featured several times on the blog and even on previous Anticipated PC Games lists, and yet, it's still in development, almost 6 years since its original release schedule of February 2013!
Anyway, according to an update in August, this sci-fi point 'n' click adventure by the guys who brought you the classic Sierra adventure Space Quest, has entered the alpha testing phase and the voice cast are recording their lines. The voice cast is a pretty impressive one too with the likes of Rob Paulsen (probably best known as Pinky from "Pinky and the Brain" and Raphael/Donatello from the 1987 "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"), Maurice LaMarche (best known for his roles as The Brain in "Pinky and the Brain" and various roles, including Kif Kroker, in "Futurama"), Robert Clotworthy (best known for his role as Jim Raynor in Starcraft), John Patrick Lowrie (best known for his role as the Sniper in Team Fortress 2) and Ellen Mclain (best known for her role as GLaDOS in Portal) being some of the more recognisable ones (at least to me 😊).
It sounds like the game is finally on the home stretch so fingers crossed it should be released early next year.
