Time to enjoy some rum! Yaaaaarrr!! |
The following post is part of a series of posts that are published every Sunday to update readers on what Mark G has been up to with respect to finishing off games on his "Pile of Shame". The games to target are picked by Choicest Games contributors Choona, Luke and myself. As I'll be talking about my progress through these games, there may be spoilers ahead, especially for games containing a narrative. Consider yourself warned.
Hand of Fate
- Picked by Me
- Percentage Complete = 92%
So, maybe I should get back to clearing this list of other games. Maybe Battlefield 1 considering the sequel is coming out soon? Yeah, probably pointless to a degree but at least I'll have finally got the single player campaign out of the way.
Stardew Valley
- Picked by Me
- Percentage Complete = 20%
The Testament of Sherlock Holmes
- Picked by Me
- Percentage Complete = 25%
Battlefield 1
- Picked by Me
- Percentage Complete = 10%
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
- Picked by Luke
- Percentage Complete = 26%
What's most exciting though is that I have unlocked the sea shanty "Drunken Sailor" (probably the only sea shanty I actually know). I'm hoping I get to hear it next time I'm sailing around the Caribbean 😊.
Hacknet
- Picked by Choona
- Percentage Complete = 77%
Also, this game gets top marks for immersion: recently I was the victim of an attack in-game and eventually the game closes and opens up your actual command prompt, you know, good ol' cmd.exe on your actual Windows machine. You're tasked to navigate the folders on your PC and delete a fake dll file planted there all the while following instructions in a text file generated by a character in the game. I like it.
