I managed to finish the China Cup this week; I liked the Hong Kong track in particular since it's apparently set during Chinese New Year complete with fireworks towards the end of the race 😊. Also, it seems like Barry Leitch tweaked some of his music for the China Cup as they sound like the instruments have been substituted with oriental ones (okay just confirmed that the track I was probably listening to was the one below):
I've also unlocked quite a few new cars thanks to me levelling up XP but also thanks to my mate Luke and my daughter playing local multiplayer with me and retrying a whole bunch of old tracks I hadn't won gold cups on. I've now unlocked the Toyota Sprinter Trueno, the Lamborghini Aventador, the Bugatti Veyron, the Ferrari 458 Italia and even a Vee-Dub Kombi van!

Oh God. Screw that Trial of Patience – it took probably 30 minutes of real time waiting for a proxy server to be taken offline, and only after did I discover that opening more shells would've actually decreased the wait time! Argh! Anyway, I passed all the trials which gave me access to a new x-server.sys file (and now my GUI is white instead of green). More importantly though, I also acquired a new SQL hacking tool which should come in handy for my next task…
