Yes, I'm playing another retro game and this week it's
Master of Orion 2 (like
MegaRace 2, its soundtrack will also be featuring on Choicest VGM). I've managed to get myself in a situation playing as the Klackons (an ant-like alien race) where I'm allied to the pacifist Psilons, but
MOO2 fans know what they Psilons are like: they dominate in the long run, thanks to their tech advantage and Klackons being "uncreative" are actually worse than I thought (e.g. I'm still using Nuclear Drives along with Class VII shields)! There's no way I can win my current game unless I can somehow beat the Antarans before the Psilons, but that's very unlikely. I'm also surprised the game hasn't ended yet considering the Psilons control most of the galaxy
and the worst bit is that I'm playing on Tutor difficulty! Man, how the mighty have fallen...

I played some more
Door Kickers this week and just made the discovery that you can customise your crew (which is a nice touch and to be frank one I would expect from these kind of games); sure, you're only able to pick portraits from a bunch of randomised images but you can at least pick names and callsigns too. The missions are definitely getting trickier in this game and sometimes you only have a matter of seconds to rescue hostages. I've also unlocked the Breacher class and shotguns kick ass (well, at close range at least).

Town of Salem as it's that good, and Choona has still not picked a new game for me to play yet – oh well, means I get a break of sorts 😊 (and hopefully some time to catch up with reviews!)
