Chryssalids made an apperance in my XCOM 2 game this week |
The following post is part of a series of posts that are published every Sunday to update readers on what Mark G has been up to with respect to finishing off games on his "Pile of Shame". The games to target are picked by Choicest Games contributors Choona, Luke and myself. As I'll be talking about my progress through these games, there may be spoilers ahead, especially for games containing a narrative. Consider yourself warned.
Cally's Caves 4

I'm making way through the New Game+ Mode in
Cally's Caves 4 and have defeated the 2nd level boss which I didn't end up even fighting since the General which I had convinced to join my side defeated him for me (or at least scared him off). Neat! 6 more bosses to go...
Hand of Fate

I haven't made any further progress on this – it's now on hold while I am distracted by… well… a lot of other games 😊.

XCOM 2

I finished a Retaliation Site mission this week and encountered an old enemy: the Chryssalids! These enemies appeared not only in the last
XCOM game by Firaxis but also in the original
UFO: Enemy Unknown (aka
X-COM: UFO Defense). Thankfully, I made short work of them in this particular mission and I actually had more problems taking out the mechs (as usual). None of my soldiers died at the end though and enough civilians survived for the mission to be a success. Choooooice!
Fortnite
- Picked by Choona
- Percentage Complete = 60%
Again, I was going to dedicate some time to
Fortnite this week but turns out there is yet another update! And it's taking too long for me to actually play so no Fortnite this week either. I'll have to learn to keep the Epic Games Launcher open during the day in order to download updates I guess!
