Developed by Tim Schafer's studio of Double Fine, the originally Psychonauts was critically acclaimed and there's a big enough demand for it to come back – check out the Fig project which raised $3.8 million as proof of that! I was never a huge fan of the original Psychonauts (since I still preferred point 'n' click adventures to 3D platformers) but there's no denying the story, characters and world were unique and in a good way.
Psychonauts 2 is going to be a third person platformer game similar to the original and again you get to the play the role of Raz, a recently graduated Psychonaut with powerful psychic abilities. Just like the original Psychonauts you will have the opportunity to explore the minds of several NPCs and discover what really makes them tick.
So, guess I' d better get on with playing the original Psychonauts before playing this one! Although apparently, I need to play Rhombus of Ruin if I want to experience what actually happens between both games (unfortunately, it's only available on PS4 ☹)
