Unlike many soundtracks that have featured previously on the Choicest VGM playlist, despite liking many of the tracks on this soundtrack, there's only three on the Mechwarrior 2 soundtrack that have been etched in my memory: this is one of them. The first several seconds definitely gives the vibe of a lone recon unit scanning the area - a very vulnerable position to be in. It's only at 0:48 that the track starts to sound almost heroic thanks to the orchestra.
