Apparently the enemies ahead are called "Scars"

I guess we have a lot of faith in Bioware since this is the only game this year that received votes from all judges. It's also the second year in a row where a Bioware game has topped the 10 Most Anticipated Games List (it was Mass Effect: Andromeda last year).

Anthem promises to be a shared-world action RPG where you and three of your mates can fly around in exosuits called Javelins. Each Javelin is suitable for different roles (e.g. a Ranger is a jack-of-all trades whereas the Colossus is better at "tanking"). The game actually sounds like it'll be EA/Bioware's answer to 2K/Gearbox's Borderlands so it'll be interesting to see if the gamble pays off.

The only thing that worries me about this game is if there is going to be so much focus on the multiplayer gameplay that the story takes a backburner since this is Bioware we're talking about here (developers that built a reputation in the past for crafting immersive single-player RPGs) and so far, while the trailers show a really pretty game, there's sadly not much information about the lore; it's almost as if Bioware's talent is wasted if the game doesn't have a compelling backstory. If there's some reassuring news to all of this though, it's that Drew Karpyshyn, lead writer for several of Bioware's games including the first two Mass Effect games and Star Wars: The Old Republic, will also be the lead writer for this game.
