10 Most Anticipated PC Games of 2017 - #4 Paradigm

Paradigm isn't only the name of the game but also its strange-looking protagonist

We now move on to the first game in the top 10 countdown for Most Anticipated PC Games of 2017 to receive more than three votes: Paradigm. What? What do you mean you haven't heard of Paradigm? It's a point 'n' click adventure game about a mutant living in the post-apocalyptic world of Krusz which is "a land inspired by a mix of Eastern Europe and the 70's and 80's" according to its developer Jacob Janerka. I first found out about the game in 2014 when Janerka was running a Kickstarter project in order to raise funds for development. Both Choona and I decided to back this project because (a) we love wacky point 'n' click adventure games and (b) we like supporting local developers (Janerka hails from Perth, Western Australia) :). While the funds were definitely trickling in, it wasn't until some major coverage by YouTube celebrity PewDiePie that funding started to skyrocket; so not only did Janerka meet his modest goal of $14,000, he ended up pocketing an extra $22,000 resulting in several stretch goals being unlocked. Choice!

Despite the really weird characters and scenery, you can tell that Janerka is a very talented artist and if you ever get around to playing the demo of the game (which I recommend you do), it has some genuine laugh-out-loud moments (so Janerka is a bit of a comedian too). Choona and I are definitely looking forward to this title and despite it not having the multi-million dollar marketing budget of some AAA titles on this list, we think it's going to be just as fun.
