10 Most Anticipated PC Games of 2016 - #3 Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Adam Jensen returns as our favourite, gravelly voiced, cyborg

Despite this game being only voted by two of the judges, it has received two strong votes meaning both are almost certain to purchase this game on release. The original Deus Ex is one of my favourite games of all time and is also the case amongst many of my friends too. It's one of those games that is highly quotable too, partly because of the insightful political/ethical debates, partly because the voice acting is sometimes terrible. Anyway, Eidos Montreal happened to release a game that served as a prequel to Deus Ex back in 2011 called Deus Ex: Human Revolution (DX:HR) and while it’s not easy trying to outdo a classic, DX:HR came pretty close.

What Eidos Montreal did was basically copy and paste what made the original great, improved the graphics and audio, and made it accessible to a new generation of gamers. The game turned out to be a critical and commercial success, with a Metacritic rating of 90 and millions of units in sales. Choicest Games also rated it highly, giving it an 8/10.

So now Eidos Montreal are working on the sequel called Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (DX:MD). Again, you’ll play the role of Adam "I never asked for this" Jensen, as you discover the cyberpunk world of the not-too-distant future. Apparently, augmented humans and non-augmented humans hate each other even more in DX:MD and it’s up to Jensen to work with an international anti-terrorist coalition to stop terrorist attacks. Who actually controls the organisation he works for though and their ulterior motives is also something that Jensen will discover (Hmmm sounds a lot like another game ;)).

It might be more of the same, but it’s one of the most-loved game franchises in the world (especially for PC gamers). Oh I've definitely asked for this and I'm not ashamed to say so.
