This music plays whenever you view the glorious credits screen in Sid Meier's Civilization II; here you can see that Sid Meier wasn't responsible for the game's design and that it was actually designed by Brian Reynolds (who would later found Big Huge Games and design games like Rise of Nations), Douglas Kaufman and Jeffery L. Briggs (who, along with Roland Rizzo, developed the game's soundtrack).

Anyway, there's not much to say about this short 45 second track except the original piece is, of course, by Ludwig van Beethoven. A lot of classical music was used in Sid Meier's Civilization II especially during the Wonder videos.
