Choicest VGM - VGM #3 - Civilization IV Theme (Baba Yetu)

Here is one of my favourite VGM tracks of all time. It's the Civ IV main theme which is composed by Christopher Tin and is called Baba Yetu. In my humble opinion, it's also the best theme in the entire Civ series.

Also, I guess I should explain my inactivity in terms of reviewing games or doing the Game of the Year 2010 special. I've just moved cities and am waiting for my (more powerful) computer to arrive, as it'll be otherwise impossible to do a review of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit on the computer I'm currently on. I could potentially review Deathspank (if the savegames are part of the Steam Cloud and I download it) and Back to the Future Episode 1, but that's about it for now. I've also been playing Test Drive Unlimited 2 (albeit on the lowest graphics settings possible).

Anyway, please stay tuned, and in the meantime, I'll bribe your attention with VGM videos :P.

Choicest VGM - VGM #2 - Battlefield 1942 Theme

Second in the Choicest VGM series is the Battlefield 1942 theme. The melody is pretty simple, but catchy, and the piece overall is quite fitting for the series. The theme would prove to be so popular and iconic that it is re-hashed in many of the sequels.

Choicest VGM - VGM #1 - Age of Empires 2 Theme

I've decided to start a new series which involves introducing YouTubers (and of course my blog readership) to what I consider the best VGM (Video Game Music) around. I will also eventually populate a playlist on YouTube so all of them can be listened to.

We start off with the theme from Age of Empires 2 - a neat little piece of music to a great game for its time.
