6th on our Choicest VGM list is a game that was released in 1986 to the arcade. Out Run was the first arcade game I remember vividly - you got to drive a choice Ferrari Testarossa, and the arcade cabinet was pretty neat too. Best of all though was, like a real car, you got to pick what "radio station" you listened to in the form of three tracks. The most memorable for me (and my favourite as a kid) was Magical Sound Shower.
While most of my Out Run experience was actually on the arcade platform I did however manage to play it a couple of times on a friend's PC - so I can justify this as PC gaming music too :) - this particular track is from the Amiga version... apparently.
